Discount: your starting mortgage rate is set at a discount variable rate. Barnsley Building Society has discount products for 2 and 4 years. Your rate will be set according to which product you choose and how much you want to borrow.

Buy to Let: your starting rate will be set at a discount for a 4 year period off the Society's standard variable rate. After the discount period is finished your rate will revert to the standard variable rate for the rest of the mortgage term.
