First-time buyer number at highest level since financial crash of 2007 – Bristol Post

The number of first time buyers is estimated to be over 335,000 by the end of 2016. This will make it the third year in succession that the amount of first time buyers in the UK has been over 300,000. The number was at an all time low of 195,000 in 2008, just after the financial crash, but the market has seen an improvement of 75 percent since those days. This is despite the average FTB deposit having doubled in the past decade.
