Affordability of housing in London is now at a record low, with house prices over 14 times the average salary. House prices in the capital have risen 86% since 2009, far above increases in salaries. This has left properties in the capital at the least affordable they have ever been. Cambridge, Oxford and Bristol also have some of the least affordable housing in the UK.
