Monmouthshire’s lack of home building land a ‘concern’ – BBC News

A shortage of land in the town of Monmouthshire is prompting the town council to review its Local Development Plan early. What houses are available sell extremely quickly in the area and the average house price has sky-rocketed. The Monmouthshire council has previously set lofty goals on how many houses they aim to be built per year to satisfy increasing demand in the area due to new railways, but the lack of available land has prevented them from making that goal by more than 50%.
