London Mortgage Company (LMC) was launched in February 2001. It specialises in offering secured personal loans provided through intermediaries.

In March 2002 LMC started offering first charge' residential mortgages under the London Mortgage Company brand, providing mortgages to borrowers in the non-conforming sector. LMC helps people find mortgages who have had previous credit issues.

LMC obtains business from a panel of intermediaries. The company has approximately 30 specialist underwriters with broad experience of the specialist mortgage and loans market.

All applicants are treated as individuals and each case is considered on its own merits. An applicant's past conditions are not held against them and LMC try to assess a person based on their current position and whether they will be able to maintain a future mortgage.
